LA Galaxy head coach Bruce Arena is expecting captain Landon Donovan to be back in action for the club this weekend.

The USA star missed last week's 3-1 loss to New England Revolution with a quadriceps injury but Arena has indicated he should be right to take on the unbeaten Sporting Kansas City at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park on Saturday.

"We have to get through the rest of the week," Arena told MLSsoccer.com. "That's the bottom line. I expect he'll be ready to play, though.

"Like any team, it's important to have your best players on the field. We're a better team with Landon on the field. We're hopeful he will be back on Saturday."
