Kuyt thrilled to prove Liverpool matchwinner
Dirk Kuyt was thrilled to prove Liverpool's matchwinner in their FA Cup win over Manchester United.
He showed just why Kenny Dalglish wants to keep him by coming off the bench to score an 87th-minute winner to sink United and send Liverpool into the fifth round of the FA Cup.
Kuyt said: “It was a great header to me by Andy Carroll and all that I needed to do was score.
“We have proved we can compete with the best.
“Maybe United were the better team, but at the end of the day it is all about scoring goals.”
