Dirk Kuyt hopes to now stay with Liverpool after the sacking of Kenny Dalglish.
Dalglish's departure has given him hope that he will get more game time under the new manager and he is prepared to stay at Anfield.
"I hope I can stay with Liverpool," the striker told Dutch newspaper Algemeen Dagblad. "But that's what I said the last couple of months.
"With Dalglish as manager, I didn't have the illusion he would let me start from the beginning next season.
"We have to wait and see now. I'm not sure yet what Liverpool will do with this manager vacancy."
