Dirk Kuyt says new Liverpool signing Glen Johnson has already made a big impression on his teammates.

Kuyt the Daily Star: "Unfortunately we didn't win any trophies last season but if we can keep the team together then the fact we have added Glen Johnson means hopefully we can go one step higher.

"I think Glen showed already that he is a very good player in the Premier League and England's national team.

"When you bring someone like him in you know you are going to get quality."
