Dirk Kuyt is convinced Liverpool can win the Europa League this season.
Kuyt made his 50th European appearance for Liverpool in their 0-0 draw with his old club Utrecht at Anfield on Wednesday night.
< Liverpool finished top of their group, and the Dutchman feels the competition offers a big chance of winning silverware.
"We have a couple of targets and obviously we like to win trophies," he said.
"I think we have a very good chance to win this trophy.
"It's good to be top of the group, and we'll wait and see who our next opponent is."
Kuyt also acknowledged that manager Roy Hodgson had made the right decision not to play him from the start.
"We play a lot of important games this month so he (Hodgson) has to make his choices.
"Obviously (the Premier League match against Fulham (on Saturday) is another very important game for us so he decided to rest me."
