Kuyt admits Liverpool title chance almost over

Dirk Kuyt has admitted that Liverpool's dreams of ending a 19-year wait for a title are fading. With five games left on their schedule, Holland international Kuyt confesses that Liverpool are facing an uphill task to a lift a first piece of league silverware since 1990.

"It is harder after last night because we knew before the game that we needed to win to keep the pressure on," the forward told Liverpool's official website.

"But at least we got a draw and didn't lose and we have to keep fighting until the very end.

"It has become more difficult than it already was but you have seen a team that has not given up and we will never give up.

"It will be difficult but as long as we keep winning our own games then maybe they (United) will struggle. They have two games in hand so they could take a six-point lead so they will have to lose twice, but that can happen.

"The point we took is an important one because otherwise we could have ended up seven points behind and that would have made it almost impossible."
