Kuwait keen to kick of Asian Cup qualification with win

After missing out on the 2007 Asian Cup finals, Kuwait are determined to get their campaign off to a flying start in Group B with a win over Oman. Kuwait coach Mohammed Ibrahim said it was important for the morale of the team to produce good performances early in qualification.

"I'm confident that our players will put in all their effort to get the three points as it will be very important and it will give us a big push to qualify for the finals after missing the previous Asian Cup finals," said Ibrahim.

"The game against Oman will be very hard because we will be playing against a tough team who have just won the Gulf Cup and they are going to go into the game full of confidence," he added.
