Shefki Kuqi has no problem working to his contract at Newcastle United.
The Finnish striker is fine with the perimeters of the deal and has vowed not to let the length of his stay at the club change anything he does.
He told The Journal: "I'm not thinking about a new contract. Honestly, that isn't in my mind. I'm here for six months. I'm not here to make a name or try to prove myself to anyone.
"I'm just really happy to be here and I will do everything I can to help my team-mates while I'm here. There aren't words big enough to express how delighted I am and I've got to thank the gaffer for that.
"I haven't thought for one second maybe I can get another year. I'm not looking for a career here. Everyone knows what I'm about and I'm glad the gaffer has already explained that.
"I'm thinking about this season and this season only. Whatever happens after that happens, that is a question that can be answered then.
"All I can do is do my best for Newcastle United. I will put my heart and soul into every single game I play. That's all I can do. How people see me, we will have to wait and see."
