Kruse set to leave Melbourne Victory as free agent

Robbie Kruse is almost certain to put into effect his imminent free agency by heading overseas in search of a contract.

All reports point to Germany where the talented 22-year old scorer of 11 A-League goals this season is likely to land and sign a deal with a 2.Bundesliga (second division) club.

Kruse really rose to prominence when he was selected for Australia's Asian Cup squad where he impressed in two matches for the Socceroos in their ill-fated campaign in January which resulted in them losing the final in extra-time to Japan.

It looks as though the former Brisbane Roar youngster will try his luck abroad but the name of the club he could potentially join is still unknown.
