Australian winger Robbie Kruse believes Bayer Leverkusen are good enough to push reigning German champions Bayern Munich all the way this season.
Die Werkself currently sit second on the league table following the weekend's 1-0 win at third-placed Borussia Dortmund and now Kruse is looking to bridge the four-point gap with Bavarian giants Bayern.
"That's what we wanted, we want to be fighting up near the top and we are four points away from them," he told Bundesliga.com.
"But we are still close enough and I think we are good enough to keep (playing) consistently well to push them all the way."
Kruse, who was a late substitute at Signal Iduna Park on Saturday, came on as a half-time replacement for Jan Hegeler in Leverkusen's 1-0 Champions League victory at Real Sociedad on Tuesday night and was impressive in the second half.
