Tottenham are up first at St James' Park and will be swiftly followed by a clash with Chelsea a week later with the Europa League play-off sandwiched in between.
Krul told the Evening Chronicle: "We are on the back of a great season last time around.
"Now we are getting prepared for the next one. We know we have a tough start ahead, but that is no different to last year.
"Look what happened - we had the best start in years. There is nobody to be afraid of, I believe we can live with anybody on our day.
"Hopefully, we can hold on to our players and push on from what we did last year."
