Newcastle United could be given a boost this weekend with the potential return of goalkeeper Tim Krul.
The Holland international has been sidelined with an ankle injury since November 22 but is in line for a comeback for Saturday's trip to take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Reports suggest Krul could be fit enough to travel to west London as the Toon look to become the first club to grab a point against Jose Mourinho's league-leading Chelsea at their home ground.
During Krul's absence, back-up keeper Rob Elliot and third-choice gloveman Jak Alnwick have failed to keep a clean sheet between them in 10 matches which has the Magpies screaming out for the return of the undisputed number one.
