Kroenke to join Arsenal lockdown

American billionaire Stan Kroenke is set to sign up to the Arsenal lockdown agreement to prevent a hostile takeover bid.

The American billionaire is joining forces with the current board in their war with Russian Alisher Usmanov, says The Sun.

Arsenal's directors have agreed not to sell any of their shares until April at the earliest.

But they are ready to extend that agreement next year to keep out Usmanov and his business partner Farhad Moshiri.

Kroenke, who paid £75million for 12.19 per cent in March, will now join the pact.
