Kroenke to up Arsenal contract offers to Nasri, Clichy

Arsenal are ready to up their contract offers for rebels Gael Clichy and Samir Nasri.

The Sunday Express says Gunners' new owner Stan Kroenke is understood to have rubber-stamped increased offers to Nasri and Clichy to commit themselves to the club for another three years.

Nasri, 23, is stalling after being linked with Manchester United, who fancy him as a replacement for the retired Paul Scholes. Clichy, 25, is wanted by Liverpool.

Wenger, turned down by Blackburn's England U-21 defender Phil Jones, is trying to reassure Cesc Fabregas that he has a future at the Emirates rather than back home in Barcelona.
