New York City FC head coach Jason Kreis admits it has been a tough beginning to life in Major League Soccer.
The former Real Salt Lake boss saw his side beaten 3-1 by the Seattle Sounders at Yankee Stadium on Sunday which saw them drop to third bottom on the Eastern Conference table.
After nine matches, NYCFC have recorded just one victory and three draws which proves to Kreis that it isn't easy to form a brand new franchise.
"It just doesn't sit well with me," Kreis said.
"I guess I didn't realize it would be this difficult. Maybe I forgot how very hard it is to build a team in this league and have success on a consistent basis."
Kreis added: "For me, we were the much better team in the first 45 minutes of the game, but again we don't score the goal.
"Against one of the best teams in the league, that has been together for a very long time, we dictated the tempo of the game, we created the majority of the chances, but at the end it's not enough. That won't help me sleep tonight."
