Niko Kranjcar insists QPR did not stand off against Manchester United during Sunday's rout.
Some Rs players say they paid too much respect to United.
But Kranjcar told the Fulham Chronicle: "I think Man United deserves respect.
"We stood on the pitch quite well in the first 20 minutes. The wingers were coming off the line and overloading us in midfield. We weren't really in danger but we conceded three sloppy goals which changed the game.
"It happens. The free kick goes through a lot of bodies and ends up in the back of the net. The second goal comes after a counter attack, a lucky bounce that comes to their player [Herrera] at the edge of the box.
"It's football. Man United have world-class players, with top signings they brought in, and they were the much better team."
