KR Reykjavik player-coaching offer to Stoke striker Gudjohnsen

Stoke City striker Eidur Gudjohnsen is being offered a return to Iceland.

KR Reykjavik are offering the player-coaching job to the former Chelsea and Barcelona striker, says talkSPORT.

The Icelandic striker has failed to settle at Stoke and has struggled to command a regular place in the side.

Manager Tony Pulis said: "Whether it's Eidur, whether it's Tuncay, whether it's Kenwyne Jones or Ricardo Fuller, the group will always come first for me.

"Eidur is a really good lad but he wants to play every week and you can't blame him for that."
