Inter Milan midfielder Mateo Kovacic was pleased with his performance in victory over Sampdoria.

The midfielder was handed a start and didn't disappoint in the 2-0 win.

"It was difficult to take a grip of things in the middle of the park today but we got the three points and that's all that matters."

The Croatian youngster added: "I'm happy to be here but I still need to settle in properly and I can do a lot better. I have to keep working hard and trying to improve my game."
