Laurent Koscielny says Arsenal have not given up hope of advancing in the Champions League.

The Gunners were brushed aside 5-1 by Bayern Munich in the Round of 16 first leg at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday night.

Despite their major disadvantage heading into the return bout in London in three weeks' time, French defender Koscielny feels the only mindset to have is a positive one.

"In football, you never know," he told Arsenal.com.

"We are professional, we have a second leg and we will try to win. But after a game like this it's very difficult.

"But we'll fight because we are professional and we play for Arsenal."
