Wigan striker Arouna Kone has struggled to settle in England following his move from Levante last year. However, the 29 year old former PSV and Hannover frontman has bagged four goals in his last two games, including a brace in the clash with relegation rivals Reading last weekend.
"I am delighted with the goals," he said. "It has been difficult to settle but it is a fantastic club trying everything for the players.
"We have a great young manager who we all want to play for. I hope to score more goals in the 11 games left in the season."
