Konchesky warns Liverpool fans they have not seen his best

Liverpool left-back Paul Konchesky has urged Reds fans to wait until he produces his best before judging him.

The 29-year old has endured a tough start to his Anfield career but he insists that he will help the club get back on track in the New Year with much-improved performances.

"The fans have not seen the best of me yet," he said.

"Hopefully, I can kick on in the new year.

"Liverpool are a big club with a great history. We must try to get the club back to where it belongs."

And the former Fulham man added that footballing life in London is much easier than playing in a place such as Liverpool.

"It is so small up here. There are two teams and most of the people support Liverpool - so there's no hiding," he added.

"In London, though, you have four or five good teams. You can go out there and not even think about it."
