Konchesky: Early goal and Fulham can shock Juventus

Fulham fullback Paul Konchesky insists their Europa League tie is still alive despite last night's 3-1 defeat at Juventus.

Juve's former Arsenal goalkeeper Alex Manninger was rarely tested last night and this is something Fulham must rectify at Craven Cottage.

“If we can get a quick goal at Craven Cottage and not concede one, then it's all go,” said defender Konchesky, who was playing his first game for almost two months after recovering from an ankle injury.

“Let's hope we can start well and then kick on from there. Their goals last night were from our mistakes: two set-plays, one just before half-time, really set us back.

“But after coming this far in the competition, we don't fear anything.”
