Manchester City skipper Vincent Kompany has urged fans not to panic after defeat to Everton.

Kompany, who returned at Everton after a four-match ban, is confident that Tuesday's 1-0 defeat will not derail their title bid.

The Sky Blues were top of the league form table before Tuesday night - even though they have slipped out of both domestic cups.

The Belgian said: "Over a season you are going to lose games at some point.

"But we look forward and we still want to bring the league title back."
