Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany feels it is vital for he and his defensive colleagues to completely shut down the Real Madrid attack next week.
City managed to keep a clean sheet as they played out a 0-0 draw in the Champions League semi-final first leg at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday night but the Spanish giants did look dangerous whenever they got free on the break.
Another part of Zinedine Zidane's side's game that stood out was at dead ball situations and Kompany feels the best way to keep them under wraps at the Santiago Bernabeu next Wednesday is to keep all of their attacking areas under wraps.
"They had a clear gameplan. They tried to catch us on the break like they've done in most of their big games," the Belgian said.
"(Joe) Hart had to pull a few save but there were many from set pieces so we need to look at that and make sure that doesn't happen.
"I thought on set pieces we were dangerous as well but it's too close to call at the moment."
