Owen Hargreaves has rated Vincent Kompany as 'the best centre-half you will ever see'.

The former Manchester City midfielder has seen firsthand the influence the Belgian defender has and believes he has no returned to his very best after an indifferent 2014/15 season.

"Vincent Kompany is the best centre half you will ever see and now he is back on his game he is terrific," said the BT Sport pundit.

"City will be a better and more experienced side in the Champions League this season. They have every reason to be excited. They can make a big impact in Europe this time."
