Kompany: Quadruple talk banned at Man City

Vincent Kompany says all talk of winning the Quadruple has been banned from the Manchester City dressing room.

Vincent Kompany says all talk of winning the Quadruple has been banned from the Manchester City dressing room.

City sealed the Capital One Cup trophy on Sunday, but with three still titles to play for Kompany has said talk of an unprecedented quadruple is 'forbidden'.

"The word quadruple is forbidden in Manchester, especially in the dressing room," said the City skipper.

"I never use the word, and you won’t hear any of my team-mates using it, either. I have sensed from the beginning of this season that we could be on for something special, but I never mentioned the word quadruple or said we could win the lot this campaign.

"I don’t have a problem with setting sights high or believing what could be possible for this team. I said that sooner or later City will win the Champions’ League, and I believe we will. It’s not necessarily going to happen this season, though. It’s the same with the other three trophies."
