Manchester City skipper Vincent Kompany was positive in defeat to Bayer Munich.
He saw only good things from Manuel Pellegrini's side.
Kompany said: "It was a friendly game but I think we put in a good performance. In the beginning we were probably not having as much possession as we would have liked but saying that, I think tactically we did brilliantly.
"In the second half we had a lot better chances and in my opinion, I think we deserved better. We had a lot of chances and maybe a few weeks into the season those balls are going to go in. More importantly, I think we defended really well and didn't give them a lot of chances.
"It's a friendly game and we had such a positive attitude and going forward we looked sharp and dangerous. I guess the time for talking is almost over."
