Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany will miss tomorrow's meeting with Stoke City because of injury.

The Belgian centre-half has missed the last three City matches with a calf strain and was expected to be right for the trip to the Britannia Stadium but revealed on his Twitter account that he would miss.

"Update on my injury. Recovery going well but tomorrow is still to early, the aim is the Sunderland game. Working hard to come back stronger," he posted.
