Manchester City skipper Vincent Kompany is happy with his form in the early stages for the new season.

City have started off their campaign in fine fashion with three consecutive victories in the Premier League and one of the many star performers for the Citizens so far has been Belgium international Kompany.

The City centre-back has managed two goals and has been key in the club's spotless defensive record this season.

Many feel that Kompany is now returning back to his best following a difficult campaign last term and the defender himself is content with how he has been performing so far.

Kompany said: "It shows on the pitch that I feel good and I feel happy with myself. I am 29, things are coming easier.

"I just don't want to miss any opportunities to have a good game or have a good season. Every game counts for me. This is when I need to perform."
