Tonight at Wigan Athletic, Vincent Kompany expects Manchester City to bounce back from last week's defeat to Everton.
City have produced a positive response to setbacks this season, most recently when they followed up their dismal FA Cup exit at Stoke by beating title-chasing Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
This time around, they are looking to make amends for losing their unbeaten home record to Everton by keeping tabs on top-four rivals Tottenham and Liverpool.
"I can't remember a game where we have not performed well after a defeat," said Kompany.
"We lost before the Chelsea game and we came back to win that one.
"It has happened plenty of times before so I don't think people should worry about the mental strength of our team. We have proved that enough.
"What we should do is stop having to do it. We want to stay on a good run until the end of the season."
