Vincent Kompany has no concerns over the state of Manchester City's defence heading into the new season. New boss Manuel Pellegrini was critical of the Blues' display during a 5-3 friendly victory over AC Milan and saw his side breached a further three times against Arsenal on Saturday.
Kompany told the Daily Mirror: "Okay, we conceded three goals from three chances (against Arsenal), but it wasn't a bad game.
"If it wasn't good enough, I would say it, but during the week we did an incredible amount of work.
"This game was just a top-up for all the physical work we've done and it was just what we needed.
"I know both teams had a different week leading up to this game. The information I got is their build-up and our build-up were completely different, so we are happy with what we got out of it."
