Released Liverpool defender Kolo Toure is ready to sign for Celtic.
The Mail on Sunday says Toure will pen a one-year deal for Celtic on Sunday but manager Brendan Rodgers revealed the defender will not travel to Kazakhstan for the first leg of the Champions League qualifier against Astana on Wednesday.
Toure, 35, is a free agent having left Liverpool at the end of last season and attended Celtic's International Champions Cup fixture against Leicester City after undergoing a medical.
While Toure has been recruited to bring much-needed defensive nous and big-game experience, he may also miss the second leg of the Astana tie if Rodgers is successful in adding another wildcard signing before the team departs for Kazakhstan on Monday.
