Aleksandar Kolarov is confident Manchester City can make a big impact on this season's Champions League.
He claimed that manager Manuel Pellegrini's experience of the competition will help as the campaign wears on.
"We are still getting used to the new coach, trying to understand him," he said, "there is a change but I think we can do much better than last season. We'll be looking to well in the Premier League and Champions League this time.
"It's important for us this year, we want to do well. Last year was not good for us but now we have a good group and I think we can go through.
"And the manager he has done very well in this competition before with Villarreal and Malaga last season. He has a lot of experience in this competition and that will be good for us."
