Koeverman's 'worst team' comments due to frustration - Toronto FC's Winter

Toronto FC head coach Aron Winter has played down Danny Koeverman's comments that the club is currently the worst team in the world.

The Canadian outfit have lost all nine matches to start the 2012 MLS campaign prompting Dutch striker Koevermans to tell reporters that he is playing at the worst-performed team in world football but Winter says those words have simply been buoyed by frustration at not playing because of injury.

"Name me one team in the world that is 0 and nine," Koevermans said. "There's not one team in the whole world [that] has lost nine times in a row."

But Winter responded to the Vancouver Sun: "I think he's very frustrated but he's wrong. I think he's the only player who feels like that. He has been injured lately and I think that has added to his frustration."
