Southampton manager Ronald Koeman refused to be drawn into whether or not Morgan Schneiderlin will still be at the club next season.
The French midfielder, who was recently a target for Arsenal and Tottenham, handed in a transfer request in the summer but the Saints were desperate to hold onto him after losing a plethora of key players.
Quizzed on the future of Schneiderlin ahead of Monday night's meeting with Aston Villa, Koeman was keeping his cards close to his chest regarding the 25-year old who has been at St Mary's since 2008.
"I am saying nothing about Morgan's future," said Koeman.
"I know that people can take things out of interviews and make a big deal about it. We will see what happens. He's a player of Southampton."
In addition, Koeman told Southampton's official website that the former Strasbourg man is in some doubt for the trip to Villa Park.
"We know that Morgan came back with a groin injury from the France national team," Koeman said. "He didn't train Friday. He's doubtful."
