Koeman pleased as organised Southampton hold Chelsea

Ronald Koeman was over the moon for his Southampton side after they drew 1-1 with Chelsea on Sunday.

The Saints produced a deserved result against the Premier League leaders at Samford Bridge with Dusan Tadic converting from the penalty spot after Diego Costa's 11th-minute opener and the overall showing delighted Koeman to no end.

"To get a good result against them you need luck, you need a great goalkeeper, you need great organisation in a team and we had that," Koeman said.

"(I am) proud of the team. That gives a very good feeling."

The result keeps Southampton in sixth position on the league table but put a slight dent in their top-four hopes after Manchester United moved six points clear courtesy of a 3-0 win over Tottenham.
