Ronald Koeman says contract talks with Ross Barkley are not an immediate priority for Everton, reports the London Evening Standard.
The England international has 18 months left on his current contract and Standard Sport understands Tottenham have made a tentative enquiry about Barkley's availability.
"We know it's about 18 months of contract," Koeman said. "I think it's not the priority now. Of course, in the new year, we will have talks about his situation and about his future.
"But the priority now is playing and winning and we will see what happens in January."
The Dutchman also insisted he had received no contact from Spurs before appearing to dismiss the speculation surrounding Barkley: "I'm not interested in what you write about the futures of players because there's nobody knocking on the door."
