Ronald Koeman was delighted to record his first win in charge of Valencia after their 3-0 victory over Real Murcia.
David Villa struck twice for Valencia and Koeman said afterwards: "We were organised, determined and aggressive. We kept pushing them back and at 2-0 the game was settled.
"We played as a team. Scoring first was very important for the players' confidence. Our heads dropped last week when Rosenborg scored - that didn't happen today.
"I hope this is a sign of things to come. We want to bring the fans back to the stadium. I don't know how long that will take, but we need them to return."
