Bolton defender Zat Knight wants the disappointing end to last season to be forgotten and the Wanderers to kick-on and aim for a European spot. Knight feels Bolton are moving in the right direction under Coyle and can go the distance this season if they do not tail off in the final stages.
"We have made great strides forward since the manager came in, people who watch us play can see that," Knight told the Bolton News.
"We dropped off a little bit towards the end of the season through fatigue but if we can have the same drive and determination, hopefully we can make it last this time.
"We want to get into Europe but we have to finish the season. We can't finish in March or April."
