Zat Knight is facing the axe at Aston Villa after Saturday's 4-1 home defeat by Manchester United.
The Mirror says Martin O'Neill promised a dressing room shake-up after his side's defensive horror show.
O'Neill said: "You can have a mad 10 or 15 minutes, anyone can. But the errors we made were so simple it was untrue.
"To defend that badly came out of the blue. We've tried to be a wee bit more solid because we need to be.
"But we have gifted United some really bad goals. If they really worked for them I could say well OK, but they were poor from our point of view.
"After the win over West Ham, I decided to stay with the same team.
"We might start to change things around a little bit now.
"We've not got that many to choose from but we'll look and see."
