Former Manchester United striker Louis Saha has pinpointed the knee and Achilles problems that ruined his time at Old Trafford.
Saha arrived at United from Fulham in 2004 for a sizeable £15million transfer fee and there was understandably a lot of expectation placed on the shoulders of the Frenchman.
While Saha certainly managed to do well whenever he played, a host of injuries meant that he managed just 86 Premier League appearances throughout his four-year stay at Old Trafford.
He told the Manchester Evening News: "My first year when I arrived in Manchester I started to get Achilles problems.
"Both my Achilles were really sore, so you're starting to play on one leg and not the other, and you start to have knee problems. So it just appeared to be very damaging for my career."
