Former Holland assistant coach Patrick Kluivert has cooled reports linking him with the manager's job at Huddersfield Town.

The 38-year-old former Barcelona, Newcastle and Holland star was one of new Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal's assistants at the World Cup in Brazil.

He was linked with the Terriers job on the weekend.

However, Kluivert took to Twitter last night, insisting: "All the rumours are based on nothing."

Huddersfield have been seeking a new manager since Mark Robins' resignation after the opening game of the new season.
