Klose expecting to play as Germany prepare for Italy

Miroslav Klose says he expects to start for Germany when they meet Italy in the Euro2012 semi-final.

Joachim Low's Die Mannschaft take on Cesare Prandelli's Azzurri in Warsaw on Thursday and after scoring in the 4-2 quarter-final win over Greece, veteran Klose feels he could be given the nod over three-goal Mario Gomez.

"I am assuming that I will play," Klose said. "That's what I am preparing for in any case.

"But we are lucky to have two top strikers. We'll wait and see which one the coach will pick."
