New Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was straight to work Saturday morning, taking in the U18s game with Stoke City.
Klopp watched his club's young stars at Liverpool's Kirkby ground alongside academy director Alex Inglethorpe and Under 21 chief Michael Beale.
The German tactician, who was unveiled as the Reds' new boss on Friday, saw the Under 18 side claim a 1-0 win in what was Liverpool's first game under his reign - albeit a youth match.
He is expected to remain at Liverpool's academy ground throughout the afternoon as there are six games at his new side's home venue before 3pm.
