Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was delighted for a trio of youngsters in the wake of Sunday's 2-1 victory over Bournemouth on Sunday.
The German made 10 changes to the team that came from behind to beat Borussia Dortmund in the Europa League on Thursday and his decision did not backfire as the Reds got the better of the Cherries at the Vitality Stadium.
The likes of Connor Randall and Brad Smith made their full Premier League debuts on the south coast while Sheyi Ojo notched his second league start and the trio were adulated by the manager for their positive performances in the triumph.
"I am responsible for this line-up. Now it is easy to say, but I told the boys you can play football because if it doesn't work, they can blame me and not you," said Klopp.
"We really tried to enjoy the game and that's what they did.
"I think it was the first Premier League starts for Connor Randall, Brad Smith and Ojo. I think all three played well and it's really nice what they did."
Roberto Firmino and Daniel Sturridge scored late in the first half before Joshua King pulled one back for the Cherries as Liverpool made it three wins in a week.
