Klopp pleads with Liverpool players not to repeat Sevilla, Spartak performances

Jurgen Klopp has urged his Liverpool players to leave their complacency in Merseyside as they head to Slovenia for their Champions League clash with Maribor on Tuesday night.

The Reds have been thoroughly disappointing so far in the group stage, managing two draws with Sevilla - at home - and Spartak Moscow.

And the German has reminded his players that three points are not guaranteed when they head to Slovenia.

"The biggest mistake is always if you think one time before a game something like, 'This should be three points' or whatever. You have to work for it, you have to play for it," said Klopp.

"We know about our qualities, we know we should have won both Champions League games so far but we didn't, so for our situation it is very important and we know that, but we are only flying out there to try and improve our situation."
