Klopp on Liverpool defence: I know critics say we didn't sign this player or that

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp insists improving their defence isn't about signing new players.

The Reds shipped two goals in last night's 2-2 draw with Champions League opponents Sevilla.

While not mentioning Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk by name, the Reds boss refused to believe one extra signing would solve the problems.

"We kept on playing football and that's all very, very important," he said. "I know here a lot of people were looking for this, at the defence, that we didn't sign this and that and all that stuff.

"If these problems would have been sorted with one player, you can imagine we'd put all our money in and say 'let's do this'. It's not about this.

"It's kind of being dominant and losing a bit. Not concentration, but the grip in the game. That you are not in all of the defensive moments.
