Klopp: Liverpool can replace complacent Arsenal as Champions League regular

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says they can take over from Arsenal as a Champions League regular.

Victory over Middlesbrough at Anfield tomorrow will see the Reds reach Europe's elite competition for only the third time in eight seasons.

It will also guarantee the end of the Gunners' unbroken 18-year run of Champions League football.

Klopp insisted that if Liverpool manage to wrestle the golden ticket from Arsenal's hands they will not give it up lightly this time – to anyone.

“If you do it 18 years in a row in the Champions League like Arsenal people say, 'It's only the Champions League'. But we would love to be there 19 years in a row from now on," he said.

“We have the situation for it – that's an important thing. The feeling is that the mood has changed at the club."
