Klopp lauds Liverpool depth: It's like shopping in an expensive supermarket!

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says picking his team is like shopping at an 'expensive supermarket'.

Injuries and suspensions have meant Klopp has rarely had the opportunity to pick from a full squad this season. However, when he has done, the attacking quartet of Mohamad Salah, Roberto Firmino, Philippe Coutinho and Sadio Mane has terrified opposition defences.

With Daniel Sturridge on the bench, and Adam Lallana close to returning from injury, the German has expressed his delight at having the quality of depth in his squad.

And speaking ahead of Tuesday night's Champions League clash with Sevilla, Klopp admitted he would make some changes to the side that defeated Southampton on Saturday.

"That's what we will do, but it's not that we will change things from game to game in four or five positions," said Klopp.

"We need all the boys in these specific moments. When you saw in the last game how we could make the substitutions, it was like, 'wow!' I felt like I was in… I don't know… a specialised, expensive supermarket; only high-quality and whatever you pick, it's perfect!

"That's really, really, really cool and it's what we need. In the end, there is always disappointment involved for the players if they don't get picked, and that's clear. But it's part of the game."
