Klopp keen to play Gomez in Liverpool first team before Christmas

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is willing to field Joe Gomez before Christmas.

The Daily Mail says Gomez can play a part in Jurgen Klopp's first-team plans before Christmas but a Premier League loan is possible in January should more game-time be required, with Bournemouth known admirers.

The defender returned to full training last week after spending a year out through a knee ligament injury and was singled out for praise by Klopp in his programme notes for the West Brom game.

Despite only seeing Gomez through his rehabilitation, Klopp appreciates how highly the 19-year-old is rated by Liverpool and described him as having 'all the attributes to be a top player' for the Anfield club.

The intention is that Gomez will challenge for a first-team place as he works his way back, but should opportunities be limited due to Liverpool's lack of European football a temporary spell away may be deemed in his best interests.
